For dates and information,
This course focuses on the Basics of Watsu®, as in Tai Chi or Yoga Pranayama, one is grounded in stance while floating and stretching someone to the rhythm of the connected breaths. One is led through a simple and complete form. This course may be taken to deepen your meditation, your relationship to water, your connection to others. There will be no pressure to 'learn' the form, however, those who choose to, can follow this with the 'Transition Flow' that expands this Basic Flow to complete a Watsu® Level-1 and/or follow this with the WRT Water Release Therapy 'Provider' Certification Training.
This Training can be taken toward practitioner license with WABA (Worldwide Aquatic Bodywork Association) and/or taken to toward WRT Water Release Therapy® 'Provider' Certification with WRTB (Water Release Therapy Board and AMTA American Massage Association).
Designed to help us explore and embrace the grace of being present with the breath, the heart, the continuous unfolding of the moment, Yogic stretching, Somatic Movement and Stillness. When one is fully present with mind, body, emotions and breath we can experience the deepest connection of wholeness and oneness on all levels of our being. Through this connection, our work (on land or in the water) becomes a practice of being whole in the world. Learn to discover what we are made of.
Diane's sensitivity toward various learning styles offers the student a supportive and compassionate environment of ease.
As part of the training students are asked to 'Receive' a HED Human Energy Design Reading which allows the willing student options for healing both personally and professionally.
This 36 hour WRT 'Provider' Training Level 1 (Basic Watsu taken Concurrently) may be taken toward WRT Water Release Therapy® 'Provider' Certification and Watsu® Practitioner licence hours.
WRT Water Release Therapy® Level 2/3 Combined
In this course we deepen and expand on the elements and skills we learned in WRT Level 1. We develop the repertoire of deepening presence through new movements and stillness while exploring transitions into each new flow. Review and refinement of previous movements and techniques from WRT 1.

This 50 hour course is designed for those interested in learning the principalsof Watsu® 1. Those who have already taken Basic Watsu® can either take the remaining 34 hours of this class or repeat the full course with credit.
This 50 hour course is designed for those interested in expanding the principals from Watsu® 1. (A pre-requisite)
Practicing the pointwork, the lifts, the pushes and pulls introduced at this stage, helps develop the ability to explore and play with energy. Because the repertoire has increased to this level and there is so much to work & play with, it is recommended that one practices many sessions before going on to Watsu® 3 or another form.
Healing Dance is a powerful and beautiful technique developed by Alexanderin 1993, incorporating elements of Watsu®, WaterDance, Trager Work, and dance. It consists of four trainings, Basic Healing Dance, Advanced HealingDance and the two underwater trainings-Above and Below and Shape and Space. The Healing Dance is primarily based on wave movements for the entire body, and also includes quiet embraces, releases, tractions, smooth transitions and massage, all woven together in an unending flow. The guiding philosophy of the work is that movement is the "medicine" and in the experience of"received dance" the healing process in the body is activated. Students learn to create the sensation of lightness and flying, to generate a rhythmic field, to find the various "rhythms of awareness" for clients andeven to channel movement. Physical and emotional blockages are resolved in the polarity between freedom and security. Advanced body mechanics aretaught to create movements of greater subtlety and sensitivity. As the vocabulary of movements expands students become more confident to improvise and better respond to the needs of the client. healingdance.org is the official web site of Healing Dance.
